COMPRESS 2022 by Codeware, Inc. is a Windows-based engineering application for the design and analysis of pressure vessels and heat exchangers in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Divisions 1 and 2. It automates code calculations for shells, heads, nozzles, flanges, and supports (such as skirts, saddles, legs, and lugs), and helps engineers optimize thicknesses, check MDMT, and evaluate external pressure, wind, and seismic loadings. For heat exchangers, COMPRESS supports common configurations and performs tubesheet calculations per ASME UHX.

The software includes an extensive ASME materials database, rule-based design checks, and comprehensive calculation reports suitable for submittals and audits. It streamlines handoff to drafting by generating drawings and 3D models, and it integrates with popular CAD platforms through the Codeware Interface to create detailed, editable assemblies, BOMs, and nozzle schedules. Optional methods are available for evaluating nozzle loads using established WRC procedures.
